PAUSE

Pause is a modular block system that creates a temporary sensory safe haven, helping neurodivergent individuals cope with overstimulation. It focuses on reducing auditory, visual, and tactile stimulation - especially for kids, teens, and young adults.
The blocks are available in private/semi-private spaces, such as schools, classrooms, or your own home. PAUSE is already set up, allowing an immediate retreat for the overstimulated who just need a quick escape, however, for those who wish to make it their own, there are supportive instructions, encouraging them to take it all apart and build it up based on their preferences.
This can either be completely free, or they can follow a predisposed step-by-step instruction sheet, depicting two different ways to set it up, depending on whether you wish to be lying or seated.
PAUSE blocks are made of EVA foam, due to its softness, noise reducing, and recyclability qualities. They are covered in pure blue cotton, whose texture has been proven to be the least stimulating by members of the neurodivergent community, and whose color has been deemed by color psychologists and researchers as a color that calms the mind and body, decreasing anxiety and promotes feelings of relaxation amongst other things. The blocks also have integrated magnets, adding more stability to the structure. The covers can be removed and washed, ensuring sanitation.
